What is data recovery?
Data recovery is the procedure used to recover data from a variety of media and operating systems that has been lost by either hardware failure, human error, software bugs, a virus or a natural disaster. The media could be hard drives, backup tapes, CD media, Compact flash cards, floppy diskettes or any other types of digital media where a possible data loss situation exists and normal modes of accessing the data are no longer possible.
Your data can become inaccessible due to a software problem, computer virus, mechanical or electrical malfunction or a deliberate human act.
